Permanent
Buildings & Foundations Magazine – Roger Nielsen,
Publisher
“The
dozen or so years which have transpired since you and I
first sat down to talk about insulating concrete forms
during that obscure World of Concrete press conference
have been interesting, indeed. Who but you, the most
optimistic, most visionary entrepreneur of them all
could have known the insulating forms industry would
grow at such a pace!
As
an early leader in this pioneering and revolutionary
technology, we commend your groundbreaking efforts to
provide the world with durable, comfortable, quiet and
safe living and working quarters. Your emphasis on
quality workmanship and materials has proven to be a
standard of excellence for your peers and a benchmark
for future generations.
We
sincerely appreciate your guidance and friendship. Permanent
Buildings & Foundations magazine truthfully
would not be where it is today without your honest and
objective insight as our advisor. We may never have
given insulating concrete forms a second thought
Thank
you for your relentless pursuit of perfection. We
support and recommend you and Phoenix Systems &
Components, Inc. in all that you do.”

Coming on board with Phoenix has greatly enhanced our
ability to build affordable ICF concrete homes. We
are about to start the third phase of our 250 unit
Townhome project and while other costs have gone up
substantially, the Phoenix System ICF has allowed me to
put many of those dollars back in my pocket. We
are truly able to offer a new level of quality and value
because of our partnering with Phoenix Systems!
Another
advantage that must not be overlooked is the strength of
the ties. Just having installed the cabinets in
our own "Phoenix" home, the length of the tie
made it easy to find attachment points and the pullout
strength of the ties left me very confident that
anything I had to attach would stay put!
Thanks
again!

I
am writing this letter to inform you about my
experiences with the Phoenix form.
Our company has been installing ICF’s for
almost 6 years now.
Before using Phoenix, we were a Polysteel
distributor, and have used several other systems,
including Arxx, Reward, Quad-Lock, and Lite-Form.
I
am very pleased with the Phoenix System.
This ICF is very simple and fast to install.
The majority of our work is residential
foundations, and with a 4 man crew, we routinely setup
and pour
foudations in the same day.
Our average foundation consists of
approximately 200 l.f. of 8’ wall, and 100 l.f.
4’ wall.
Our
company also installs above grade as well.
On this same size house, we can normally have the
house walls setup and poured in about 2 days, depending
on the complexity, and number of openings.
Another
thing that I am very happy with, is the strength of the
form.
We have already poured many 12’ high walls with
no problems.
We have been testing the “limits” of this
system
just to see what the form can handle, and I am
very impressed.
We have been pouring walls to the top in one lift
without any problems.
There is virtually no bulging of the forms,
the walls stay very straight & plumb, and the
top of the wall also stays very level.
I can’t say the same for some of the other
systems that we have used.
The
one thing that really impressed me about this system is
the tie.
The tie is so open, that concrete flows very well
in the forms, even at a 4” slump.
This is good, because we don’t have to worry
about any voids occuring in the wall, and it also
reduces the time it takes to pour.
The thickness of the attachment strip on the tie
also holds a screw and nail far better than any other
system that we have used.
Overall,
I am very pleased with the form, as well as the support
I have received from the company.
Anytime I need to talk to someone at Phoenix, I
can reach them very easily, and if they are not
available at that time, they have always returned my
calls in a timely manner.
Thank
you for the great product and support to go along with
it.

Jay
D Williamson, President and CEO of Phoenix Systems and
Components, Inc. has been a valued customer of this bank
since 1987. During that period, I have been privy to
Jay’s development of his first venture in the
insulated concrete forms (ICF) industry, and his second
company. Both of these companies have achieved great
success in the marketing of ICF’s throughout the
country.
Over
the years, Jay has proven himself to be a creative
innovator with strong marketing skills and the ability
to attract the talent and resources that are required
for success.
We
have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Jay’s
companies as well as with him personally.”
First
State Bank - Robert F. Kment, President - Omaha,
NE Market
"Please accept this letter of introduction and
endorsement of Mr. Jay Williamson and his company,
Phoenix Systems and Components, Inc. First State
Bank has maintained a business banking relationship with
Phoenix Systems and Mr. Williamson since March
2003. During that time, Phoenix Systems has
performed satisfactorily on several credit facilities
arranged through First State Bank from May 2003 through
the present.
Mr. Williamson is considered by many to be an
innovator of the ICF industry. In addition to
Phoenix Systems, he successfully developed and operated
two other ICF companies, 3-10 Insulated Forms and Reward
Wall Systems. He continues to demonstrate strong
leadership qualities and marketing skills that will
allow his present company to penetrate a much larger
portion of the ICF market in the years to come.
Over the last 2 1/2 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed
my association with Mr. Williamson and have also
developed a strong personal belief in the Phoenix
Systems' ICF product. My confidence in the
durability and structural application of this product
has recently been demonstrated as Phoenix Systems' ICF
wall system was selected as the main wall component for
FIrst State Bank's new banking office in Ralston,
Nebraska. This 2-story, 14,000+ s.f. facility was
built from the ground up, using the Phoenix (ICF)
System. First State Bank is proud to become one of
many satisfied customers of Phoenix Systems and
Components, Inc.
I continue to look forward to a lasting and
prosperous business relationship for many years to
come."

“We
first met Jay Williamson in 1996 as a proprietor of a
highly successful company with 700 distribution points,
marketing Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) – building
system.
We
have since learned that Jay is indeed a pioneer in the
field of ICF systems since 1988. His vision and
knowledge have been very fruitful for our work to adapt
our EPS molding machines for the fully automatic insert
molding of ICF’s.
Our
equipment and molds based also on his ideas are
operating in many states across the U.S. providing the
building industry with building blocks for high
technology home and industrial building.
We
have to this day an excellent relationship with Mr. Jay
Williamson and we are confident, that his company
Phoenix Systems & Components, established in 1999
and based on his past ventures and supported by numerous
installers trained by him and his companies, will be
equally successful, backed by his talent for creative
innovations and his great marketing skills.
We
will endeavor to assist him in his permanent drive for
perfection.”
