The Phoenix ICF was designed as the strongest, most
versatile and easiest to use in the field. The standard
principles of straight, level and plumb of course still
apply as in other methods of construction, but instead
of hammering pieces of wood together, workers place the
expanded polystyrene forms atop one another, creating a
wall that when filled with concrete is much
more substantial than any wood wall. Forms weigh only
about 5 pounds and the ease of placement is aided by the
lap design of the form joint. Each form has easy to read
markings that show the position of the recessed form
tie, which provides the area for fastening of exterior
or interior finishes.
Believing
that good builders and contractors are capable
of
cutting their own angles and curves for the vast
assortment of today’s building designs, builders also
benefit from the simplicity of this form, which is
available in 5” and 7” wall cavities, in straight
and right angle corners.
