Energy Savings Warranty
Phoenix
Systems & Components, Inc. (“Phoenix”) guarantees
that homes built with Phoenix Insulating Concrete Forms (PICF)
according to published Phoenix construction specifications
shall experience at least 72% total annual energy savings
(require 28% or less total annual energy consumption) for
heating and cooling, compared to the energy consumption
required to heat and cool a similar sized and designed
home (“comparison home”) having the same energy source
and built to the following standards:

2”x4”
wood framed walls with R-13 fiberglass batt insulation
-
R-19
fiberglass batt insulation in the floor and roof
systems
-
Single-glazed
windows with storm windows attached
-
Minimum
applicable code efficiency HVAC equipment at the time
of its installation
-
A
whole-house natural air exchange rate of 0.7
or higher
Availability
– this warranty shall become effective when the home is
inspected and passed by an authorized agent of Phoenix as
conforming to the Phoenix standards as noted below, and is
available for a period of ten (10) years from the date of
first occupation on any home constructed, by a builder
trained and certified by Phoenix in accordance with the
procedures and practices developed by Phoenix, and having
these additional features:

PICF
from foundation to eaves.

High
efficiency double-glazed windows (at minimum), the
total area of which do not exceed 15% of the
conditioned wall area of the home.

Insulated
entry doors.
-
Minimum
R-40 attic or roof structure insulation.
-
Properly
sized and maintained HVAC equipment fitted with
mechanical heat-recovery air exchanger capability.
-
Additionally
conforming to CABO and all applicable local building
code standards.

30-Year
Dry Basement Wall Warranty
Phoenix
Systems & Components, Inc. (“Phoenix”) guarantees
that all lower level exterior walls shall remain free from
visible moisture for a period of thirty years when built
with Phoenix Insulating Concrete Forms (PICF) according to
published Phoenix construction specifications.
Availability
– this warranty
is offered when Phoenix Dry Basement Wall technique is
applied by a builder, trained and certified by Phoenix.
This warranty shall become effective when the home is
inspected and passed as conforming to the above standards
by an authorized agent of Phoenix. These additional
features are also required:

All
walls and footings must meet or exceed recommended
Phoenix installation procedures and the installation
and application of the damp proofing membrane or other
approved damp-proofing product as per that
manufacturer’s instructions.

All
C.A.B.O. and local building codes must also be
satisfied.
-
Standard
drain tile and back-fill procedures must be followed
in accordance with Phoenix specifications.
-
Guttering
and landscaping must conform to acceptable practices.
